Basically it's where you get sucked into the TV and to get through the rounds you have to complete these challenges [which may include fighting someone else]. ex. You're in the world of Iron Chef and you need to cook a better meal then your opponent while still using the secret ingrediant. However be warned, there may be a few twists along the way.
